Lucas Vazquez returned to Real Madrid training on Monday, 100 days after a knee injury he suffered in El Clasico at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
Los Blancos defeated rivals Barcelona on Matchday 30 of LaLiga Santander, but the injury saw the versatile winger miss the rest of the campaign.
In fact, he had already enjoyed some minutes against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, in a 1-1 draw, where the Galician displayed his versatility featuring in a number of different positions.
In Monday’s training session, Vazquez even showed off some impressive freekick taking capabilities, as he buried more than a handful of dead balls from distance.
Whichever coach comes through the door at Valdebebas, Vazquez always manages to quash any doubts about his capabilities.
He did it with Zinedine Zidane during both of his spells, as well as with Carlo Ancelotti in the Italian’s first stint in Madrid.
With rumours about his future finally put to bed with his new contract that keeps him in Madrid until 2024, the Galician is now looking forward to another season as an important player in the side.
